We run 5 minutes late finding the pitches so missed the first goal. But Villa soaked up spells of pressure from Notts County with great defending. The second half Villa created some great chances being unlucky with Wilkinson hitting the crossbar from a great free kick and having a goal disallowed for a push in the back. A tough loss but alot of positives to take from the game into the cup game vs Everton. Cusack kept things together in the middle well fighting for everything. Notts second goal was a decent hit which Beattie couldn’t do much about. Rouse came on and played really well again, a secret weapon becoming not so secret.
