0-0 right up until half time, when a great effort by White made it 1-0 going into the break.

A second goal by Bassett for Notts County and a Red card later for Owens and it became very one sided as Notts showed their class on the pitch, Whelan made it 3-0.

Susi came on off the pitch to score two cracking goals, with a consolation goal in between from Welsh.

Villa played well even with losing 5-1. Notts County look good to challenge for the title and cups this year with a great squad and team ethic.
