long eaton have a young and talented squad under captain annie taylor who is at the moment injured that was picked up against nottingham forest and missed the rest of preseason, but hopefully Annie will be able to return to action when we come back to preseason. goals came from all over the pitch with attacking players like jordan atkin, jess munn, nikki emery and tara kirk but also the midfield too doesn’t mind a goal or two as well. it seems as if most of the squad will stay together which can only benefit the campaign with maybe a few addiitons as well as the players that already make up the squad.

the squad morale and unity is something which can be seen under John and the rest of the staff. You get the feeling it’s a team that win together but also lose together. This was clear to see that alot of the team were in the bar having a drink and entertaining a young fan dancing and having fun while they sung. It’s been a joy and pleasure so far to be around Long Eaton in the short time that I have taking photo’s and hasn’t been a dull moment so far in a team that keeps the management on their toes but in a good way.

the league has been extended to 13 teams with peterborough and leek town joining the league with Wolves moving out the league. with 26 games being scheduled without cup games. we will hopefully complete a full season for the third time after two null and void seasons. It will be such a interesting season home and away. long eaton are having a well deserved rest before the resume for preseason before the upcoming 2021/22 season which should start in August/September with preseason starting at the end of June and start of July.
