Yeovil 4-2 Villa

Well starting off a game of two halfs never really made more sense than today. First half we came in at 2-0 up and didn’t look like Yeovil could trouble us. Second half we lost 4-0 and i’m not sure what happened but we just didn’t turn up. Without Wiltshire Yeovil would be very ordinary but first half we kept her quiet and second half just didn’t.

George glanced a Merrick free kick into the goal (Hannah scores when she wants) and Wilko made it 2-0 before the half time break. West played great up and down the wing creating chances and fighting for the ball (was very impressed by her game against Yeovil) Merrick was great once again every set piece was dangerous and causing problems. 

Then the second half started and Yeovil came out the blocks fast scoring within a minute of the restart and then it all seemed to fall apart as Wiltshire got her hatrick making the score 4-2 to them. On our day we can beat anybody and was showing that first half. The Ref was appalling to be honest for both sides but played to the crowd in the second half. A booking for Merrick on 90 minutes for.. attempting to make a tackle? 

The results in the league helped us a bit yesterday but we have to try pick up as many points now as possible. We’ve had most of the hard games straight away so nothing is impossible just need to get those W’s and push till the end of the season after the midseason break.

We play London Bees at home on the 26th of June next so look to bounce back. And no matter what the result we love AVLFC because it is our club. We sing when we are winning, we sing when we are losing. Anything to try and boost OUR team.
